Welcome to the Burton Sailing Club website

We are a fun, family club that provides a vast range of activities from training for beginners to regular racing, windsurfing and offshore sailing.

We enjoy excellent sailing facilities at Foremark Reservoir amidst the dramatic Derbyshire countryside, in the heart of the National Forest within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Leicester and Loughborough.

Friday evening Social Sailing

They're back! Our Friday eving social sailing sessions were a great success last year and as the evenings are getting lighter it's time to light up the BBQ and dust off the boat covers! Friday evenings are a great opportunity to get out on the water and practise your skills in a relaxed environment. Free Sailing Taster Sessions

Try Sailing for Free at our annual 'Push the Boat out' Open Day. No booking required, just come along to Burton Sailing Club on Saturday 11th May. We shall be providing free sailing taster sessions and powerboat rides and windsurfing demonstrations all day long. Come along and meet some of our friendly RYA Sailing, Windsurfing and powerboat instructors and club members of all ages to find out more about our club and this wonderful world of sailing. Club News 2019 Update

Further Training Courses now available

This years Sailing, Windsurfing and Powerboat courses for complete beginners and improvers are now available to book online. As an RYA accredited training centre we pride ourselves on offering high quality, safe and friendly training for everyone. Perfect when you are just starting out. RYA level 1 'Start Sailing' Course is a weekend course designed to introduce you to sailing and get you out on the water sailing under supervision in light wind. Existing club members can also now renew their membership and secure their space in the dinghy park.
