Welcome to the Burton Sailing Club website

We are a fun, family club that provides a vast range of activities from training for beginners to regular racing, windsurfing and offshore sailing.

We enjoy excellent sailing facilities at Foremark Reservoir amidst the dramatic Derbyshire countryside, in the heart of the National Forest within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Leicester and Loughborough.

Windsurfing - Techno and Foiling clinics

Our dedicated windsurfers are getting the season off to a flying start! Although we are only 3 weeks into the new year, we have already had two fantastic turnouts for our winter windsurfing and foiling clinics. Massive thanks to all of those that have helped with organisation of the events and to the instructors and coaches giving up their time to get these youngsters off to the best start in the sport of windsurfing. Racing in the Blizzard!

We are delighted to launch a new event for 2022 being held over the weekend of the 12th/13th February as part of the East Midlands Winter mini series! The 'Blizzard' will be the second event of four local 'Open Handicap' events held during the winter Season. RS Tera Start of Season Championships confirmed!

Great news! Following a very successful Inland Championships in 2021, we are delighted to confirm the return of the RS Tera Fleet for their '2022 Start of Season Championships' over the weekend of 14th/15th of May. The RS Teras are a fantastic fleet of very talented youngsters. It would be great  to see some of our own up and coming sailors taking part in this event.
