Dinghy Sailing Courses

As an RYA Training Centre, Burton Sailing Club offers sailing courses according to the RYA's National Sailing Scheme (for adults) and Youth Sailing Scheme (for children).

For adults, we offer RYA Levels 1-3, plus advanced courses in racing and sailing with spinnakers. Levels 1 and 2 are perfect for the complete beginner, and we encourage anybody who wants to do so to book Levels 1 and 2 together and go directly from one to the next. (We often schedule these close together to make this a possibility.)

For juniors, we offer RYA Youth Stages 1-4, and we recommend that juniors who haven't tried sailing before book Stages 1 and 2 together as their entry level courses (although it is also perfectly fine to just book Stage 1 in the first instance too).

You can find more information about the RYA's portfolio of dinghy sailing courses via their website, here.

If the course you are interested in is full or the dates are not convenient, you can register your interest with the training team, and we will contact you if new courses become available.
