What's in store for 2022?

A very happy new year to you all! Whilst most of us have been consuming our own bodyweight in turkey and Christmas pudding and washing it all down with bucket loads of wine and beer, (Or was that just me?) our committee members have been working hard to try and ensure that 2022 is the best year ever here at Burton Sailing Club! Winter Work Parties   Our winter working parties are well underway and with your fantastic support, we have already made huge inroads in getting the club facilities and grounds fully prepared for the coming season. RS Tera Inland Championships 2021

RS Tera Inland Championships 2021 What an amazing weekend we had for the RS Tera Inland Championships! Massive 'Thanks' to everyone at the club for their help and support over the weekend. We had around 50 volunteers helping with everything from car parking, to race management. The House team and their army of help, once again did us proud in and around the clubhouse, catering for over 200 people over the weekend. A fantastic team effort from all involved! Once again! thank you. We really couldn't do it without you. Congratulations to our winners and to all those taking part,…

Crews Wanted for FF open event

Written by
Hello best sailing club ever.  I seems that we have some Flying Fifteens that are keen to sail in the open but they are short of a crew. So if you fancy having a great experience in a fast and powerful boat then please let me know and I will endeavour to match you up with someone.   It does not matter if you can only do one day out of the two.  We can mix and match over the weekend without any problems at all.  No prior experience needed, willing to learn on the job is ok.  Malc

Hi Everyone, it is good news time, the BSC Flying Fifteen open is on the horizon, just 5 weeks away and time is counting down nicely. Date is the 22nd and 23rd May, and for sure the sun will be out and the wind fine and constant. :-)       First off we always run a great event on our waters, we have the space, the equipment and the skill to arrange for some fine racing, this is why we get many associations booking us as their pre-eminent inland venue.  If you are a tad worried about Covid, just remember…
