Welcome to the Burton Sailing Club website

We are a fun, family club that provides a vast range of activities from training for beginners to regular racing, windsurfing and offshore sailing.

We enjoy excellent sailing facilities at Foremark Reservoir amidst the dramatic Derbyshire countryside, in the heart of the National Forest within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Leicester and Loughborough.

We now welcome SUP's at Foremark reservoir

Are you interested in Stand up Paddleboarding? Would you like to join our rapidly expanding SUP community at Foremark Reservoir? It' been wonderful to see so many smiling faces in the first couple of weeks of our return to the water. We've enjoyed some lovely weather, some good wind and a little rain too but that hasn't got in the way of you all enjoying your favourite sport! Safety of all of our members and visitors remains paramount in our battle to overcome the pandemic. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces as we returned to sailing over the weekend. Thank you all for your support, patience and cooperation over recent weeks. COVID-19 ... Suspension of sailing activity

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all 'on the water' activity at Burton sailing club has been suspended until further notice. We hope to be back on the water soon. Any change in the current situation at the club will be communicated as soon as news becomes available. Keep well, keep safe.

BURTON SC Flying Fifteen Open Postponed

Hi everyone, could you please share amongst yourselves that in line with the RYA cancellation  of all events and the current government advice the Sailing Committee has decided to postpone  our BURTON SAILING CLUB  FLYING FIFTEEN  open. Our intention is to replan the event to occur in October instead.  It may result in a crowded calendar at the end of the year I am afraid so we will publish new dates as soon as we agree them.
