Welcome to the Burton Sailing Club website

We are a fun, family club that provides a vast range of activities from training for beginners to regular racing, windsurfing and offshore sailing.

We enjoy excellent sailing facilities at Foremark Reservoir amidst the dramatic Derbyshire countryside, in the heart of the National Forest within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Leicester and Loughborough.

Novice Champs 2012

BSC Novice and Juniors Championship 2012 7 boats took to the water for the club champs, 5 club boats and 2 visitors returning for the blast. The fleet ranging from a Blaze through lasers and 420’s and right through to a Topper, the wind was poor and fickle but just enough for the OOD to get them away. 2012 Novice Champs

The 2012 Novice champs will be held on Saturday 7th April. Attendees of the Burton SC beginners courses are elligable to participate whether a club member or not. In addition entry is open to any club member who is reasonbly new to sailing (ie not more than a couple of seasons of regular sailing). The event will consist of three races starting at around 11AM. Flying Fifteen Inlands 14th and 15th April 2012

Hello to you all and please read on; Calling all FF crews, take note, we are fast approaching the date of the FF Inlands to be held here on our amazing water, this is a premier event and part of the world championship qualifiers.  We are expecting over 40 boats so it’s going to be exciting around the start and that all important windward mark.  If you have never sailed in a big event like this then take heart, we are in a great position, home waters, no need to travel, special launch and recovery assistance, great camaraderie as always…
