Welcome to the Burton Sailing Club website

We are a fun, family club that provides a vast range of activities from training for beginners to regular racing, windsurfing and offshore sailing.

We enjoy excellent sailing facilities at Foremark Reservoir amidst the dramatic Derbyshire countryside, in the heart of the National Forest within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Leicester and Loughborough.

Youth Academy kicks off New Year

The Youth Academy kicked off 2016 with an opening session yesterday.  Alongside the visiting Midlands Optimist Zone Squad, the young BSC sailors took to the water in a range of single and multi-handers.  Danny Ramsden and Alex Hall took them through their paces to blow away the Christmas cobwebs.  The Youth Academy is planning a series of winter training sessions before the clocks going back enables us to revert to our normal Friday nights. Dear All,   The planned Dinghy Instructor Course which starts in February is soon to close for bookings. If you want to get involved in this tremendously rewarding aspect of our sport please book online as soon as possible. The course cost is £20 for members. And, don't forget if you want to have a chat, discuss how you can become involved in training please drop into the Club on Saturday, the Team will be there from, 09:30am until midday.   Kind Regards   Keith Training Principal

Icicle Series starts Sunday 3rd Jan

The 2016 Icicle Series kicks off on Sunday 3rd Jan, with the first of three races starting at 11am. Don't forget your woolly hat!
The 2016 Dinghy Instructor Training Course dates have now been confirmed.
