We are a fun, family club that provides a vast range of activities from training for beginners to regular racing, windsurfing and offshore sailing.
We enjoy excellent sailing facilities at Foremark Reservoir amidst the dramatic Derbyshire countryside, in the heart of the National Forest within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Leicester and Loughborough.

I am keen to enable and help all our members with your training needs, don't wait for a course we have a large number of keen, skilled and incredibly good instructors willing to help you develop your sailing and Power Boat Skills
The planned Dinghy Instructor Course which starts in February is soon to close for bookings.
If you want to get involved in this tremendously rewarding aspect of our sport please book online as soon as possible. The course cost is £20 for members.
And, don't forget if you want to have a chat, discuss how you can become involved in training please drop into the Club on Saturday, the Team will be there from, 09:30am until midday.
The 2016 Dinghy Instructor Training Course dates have now been confirmed. They are :-
21st February - Pre-Assessment
5th, 6th, 13th and 19th March - Course
20th March - Externally Moderated Assessment
All those wishing to join this course should reserve their places on-line at the www.burtonsailingclub.co.uk/index.php/training/training-home page.
The cost for the Course is heavilty discounted for those who are hold sailing membership of the Club, the course is also offered to external students where places are available.
The Club will be running an internal Dinghy Instructor Coaching day, the date for this course will be advertised shortly.
An opportunity for Instructors, Assistant Instructors and everyone who is interetsed in our delivery of training, to get together and provide update, look at future developments, learn for last year’s experiences.
Starts at 09:00hrs with a free Big - Burton -Bacon - Butty
The morning is open to all Club Members but is designed specifically to everyone who is currently involved in the delivery of training at the Club.
