Try a Flying Fifteen Day

Written by

Experience all this one design class has to offer.

If you have ever sat on shore or seen one of these fleet boats racing down on you, then you may have wondered what they are like to ride in.  On July the 20th from 13:00 to 17:00 it is your chance to find out.  The fleet members are taking time off work and Saturday jobs to roll out a unique opportunity to experience 65 years of technical and innovative development.

How?  Well this fantastic opportunity to time travel is due to the makeup of this long life one design.  We have three categories of boat; OPEN – new and newer boats, SILVER – About 30 years old and CLASSIC – anything up to 65 years old.

All share a common sail plan and hull shape, most differ in the cockpit and controls and ALL share the same wild water dramatic ride that gives them the ‘FLYING FIFTEEN’ name.

So the FF fleet extends this invitation to all club members and training course students to come down and experience a Classic, Silver or Open for yourselves.   Travel back or forward in time, ride all three boats or just the one you like, the choice is yours.

On shore advice and information available, prices and buying advice.
