A very Happy New year to you all! We hope you are looking forward to the new sailing season as much as we are!
Whilst many of us have enjoyed the festive period at home in the warm with family and friends, some of our hardier sailors and windsurfers have been training and racing hard over the winter months with some fantastic results so far. Well done to you all! I am sure we shall see the benefits on the water this summer!
Our sailing committee have also been working hard to schedule a full programme of club racing, open events and training opportunities throughout this coming year. Most events have now been scheduled in to the calender, so please take a look to see what's going on on the water this summer. If you would like to see more training and coaching at the club, please let us know and we will do our best to get something organised!
A huge 'Thank you!' to all that have helped out in whatever way at the various club 'Work Parties" over the winter, the improvement that has been made to our club facilities has been incredible! There is much more to do however, so if you can come along and help out, even for a short time, it would be very much appreciated. Dates and times can be found on the calender. Everyone welcome!
There are a few important dates to note: Firstly, Membership renewals are now overdue, renewal forms can be downloaded via the link at the top of this page. We have experienced a fantastic start to the year in terms of renewals and also recevied applications from a few new members. Lets hope we keep up the momentum in the busy spring period!
This years annual Prize giving will be held on Friday 28th February, organised by Malcolm Hall and Sarah Gay. You should have received and email from Malcolm with all of the details and booking information (if you havent, please let us know). This is always a fabulous night, so please make every effort to come along and celebrate the success and all that is good about our club.
Finally. This year's AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Sunday 23rd February at 4pm. All three of our flag officers shall be stepping down to make way for a new team to continue the growth and success of previous years. If you would like to be considered for any of the flag officer positions or would like more information on what is involved in being a committee member, then please talk to Martin or any of the existing committee members. You don't need to be an experienced sailor or a long term member, We welcome anyone with enthusiasm and fresh ideas to help drive our club forward!
