Our last race of the 2018 Season will once again be the 'Christmas Cracker' Pursuit race.
So, add a little festive cheer to yourself and your boat and join us in one of the highlights of the winter season.
The race will take place on Sunday 16th December at 11am and is open to all club members. Last year there was good support from our youth academy and windsurfers, racing alongside the dinghy fleet.
We do hope you will join us again this year for some super racing and maybe a mince pie or two in the bar afterwards!
On Sunday 16th September, Burton Sailing Club will once again be participating in 'Bart's Bash' The largest sailing event in the world!
As this is our usual racing day, Bart's bash will be the first race of the day. The results of which will stand as part of your qualification for the Autumn race series.
We do hope you can come along and join us!
Congratulations to all of those completing our 'Start Windsurfing' course this weekend. The sun shone and a light oscilating breeze was perfect for getting to grips with this fantastic sport.
We hope to see you back on the water at Foremark soon.
Our Friday windsurfing club runs weekly throughout the summer from 5pm.
We have had a fabulous weekend hosting the RS Tera inlands this weekend at Burton Sailing Club. The weather has been perfect with a good breeze and plenty of sunshine!
A huge 'Thank you' must go to all of our club members who generously gave up their time to help out.
We received so many favourable comments from both parents and children saying how well organised the event was from arrival to departure!
A superb effort from everyone in the Galley keeping the troups fed and watered, in the dinghy park, making sure the launching and recovery of so many boats was as slick as possible, and also on the water, providing safety cover and assisting with the race management alongside Tom.
It also must be said that the Tera fleet and their parents have been a pleasure to spend time with too. The youngsters are a really competitive fleet. It was a priveledge to witness some first class sailing. Parents were very co-operative on arrival and during their stay, which made the management of arrival, parking, camping and departure much easier to deal with... Thank you all and we hope to see you again in the future.
Bookings are now being taken for places available on our popular weekend 'Start Windsurfing' Courses and taster sessions which take place over the summer here at Foremark reservoir.
